Sania Mirza was born on 15th November, 1986 in Mumbai India. Her current residence is located in the posh suburbs of Jubily Hills in Hyderabad where she lives with her parents.

 

Saniya has a younger sister whose name is Anam. She started playing Tennis at the age of six years. Her ideal player in tennis is Steffi Graf; she wants to become a Wimbledon Woman’s singles champion one day.

 

Saniya Mirza’s father was unable to take care of the expenses of the training of Saniya therefore he approached some business houses for help, GVK industries and Adidas started to sponsor her from the age of 12 years. Later on her father Imran took over as her coach. Her physiotherapist is Badrinath.  

 

Sania is very religious at heart and never forgets the daily recitation of the holy Quran and regularly offers prayers. She weighs 59 Kgs. and her height is 1.71 mtrs.

Saniya Mirza is very fond of the movie Ocean’s 11 and the actors Brad Pitt and Hugh Grant. Her favorite Hindi movie actors are Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon. Saniya likes to stay at home and watch movies and surf the internet. She loves to hear Hindi and rap songs.

 

Sania loves to eat Biryani and detests having apples and bananas. Her favorite dress is jeans-shirt and salwar-kurta. Saniya likes black, blue and red colors. Besides tennis Saniya loves swimming and cricket. She loves to play on the hard surfaces. Her clothes and shoes are sponsored by Adidas and the racquet is sponsored by Head.

 

Beside the GVK group she endorses Sahara India, Atlas Cycles, Tata Tea and Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh. She got the first sponsorship deal from GVK Group at the age of 12.
